Terms & Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by KeyCrafters Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking or receiving our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, which together form a legally binding agreement.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our services, you:
- Acknowledge that you are legally authorised to request services on the vehicle in question.
- Agree to provide accurate information and documentation where required.
- Accept these Terms and all policies referenced herein.
2. Proof of Ownership & Identity
We are legally required to verify that you are the lawful owner or authorised user of the vehicle before commencing work.
- You must provide valid photo ID and proof of vehicle ownership (e.g. V5C, insurance document).
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service if documentation is not satisfactory.
- No refunds will be issued in cases where service is refused due to lack of proper documentation.
3. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to cancel or discontinue any job at our discretion, including but not limited to:
- Situations deemed unsafe, suspicious, or unlawful
- Any abusive, threatening, or coercive behaviour
- Non-compliance with ID or ownership verification requirements
In such cases, no liability shall arise from our refusal or cancellation of the service.
4. Pre-Existing Faults & Diagnostic Limitations
- A diagnostic assessment may be carried out prior to work. This is not a guarantee or warranty of the vehicle’s condition.
- We are not responsible for existing or underlying faults in the vehicle’s electronics, wiring, locks, immobiliser, or control units.
- If an existing fault causes a key programming or diagnostic failure, no liability will be accepted.
5. Key Programming – Risks & Waiver of Liability
By requesting key programming or immobiliser-related services, you expressly acknowledge and accept the following:
- Modern vehicle systems are highly sensitive. Programming or replacing keys carries an inherent risk of immobiliser lockout, ECU corruption, or BCM/cluster issues.
- KeyCrafters Limited shall not be held liable for any consequential loss, electronic malfunction, control unit damage, lockouts, recovery costs, or dealer reprogramming charges arising from key programming or immobiliser work.
- You agree to hold us harmless and indemnified against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from such issues.
- If you do not agree to this waiver, do not proceed with our services.
6. Warranty on Supplied Keys
- All new keys supplied by us are covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.
- The warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, accidental breakage, or failures caused by the vehicle’s systems.
- No warranty applies to customer-supplied keys or remotes.
7. Refunds & Service Issues
- All sales are final. No refunds are guaranteed unless explicitly agreed in writing.
- If you are unhappy with the service received, please contact us within 7 days to discuss.
- Refunds or compensation are offered solely at our discretion, and only where clearly justified.
8. Limitation of Liability
- All services are provided “as is”, without any guarantees beyond what is expressly stated.
- We do not accept liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including:
- Vehicle downtime
- Loss of income or business
- Cost of recovery, towing, or dealer reprogramming
- Data loss, software corruption, or electronic failure
You assume all risk by requesting and accepting services.
9. Cookies, Data & Privacy
Use of our website and services is subject to our Privacy & Data Protection Policy, which complies with the UK GDPR and sets out your data rights, our legal basis for processing, and how we handle personal and vehicle-related information.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
11. Updates to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and any associated policies at any time. The latest version will always be published on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of any revised terms.
