Frequently asked questions
Is it really important to have a spare key?
Yes! Currently a new set of keys for a VW of around 2015-2019 will cost around £700 for two keys. If you have a working key, that price will be closer to £140. Saving a massive headache if they are all lost. The fees we pay to get security data can be very high.
What if I have a problem with my new key?
Our keys come with a 12 month warranty for piece of mind. We don’t cover batteries as they can be bought at most shops and changed yourself. But we will sort any key issue out for you and would be glad to do so.
Do you come to me?
Absolutely. We offer an exclusively mobile service. We can come to your workplace or home or even while you are doing the shopping. Just let us know where and when you’d like it doing and we’ll certainly try our best to accommodate you.
Are you trained and regulated?
Yes, trained to Ofqual Level 3 and we are now regulated by SERMI. SERMI is Security-Related (Vehicle) Repair and Maintenance Information. It regulates independent operators that deal with sensitive security information. They have very strict guidelines on how we perform our job and aim to make the UK safer and operators more professional.
We are also DBS Checked and insured. We have many industry contacts for a wide range of issues you may be facing with your car.
How long will it take?
It can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours to do a spare key. Please ask how long it will take if you are on a tight schedule, we don’t mind!
