Skoda & the VAG family
Skoda has been part of Volkswagen Audi Group since 1991, and from 2007 onwards Skodas share platforms, electronics and immobilisers with their VW siblings. That's good news for key work — the same tooling and same procedures apply. Fabia 2 (2007–2014) shares with the Polo. Octavia 2/3/4 shares with the Golf. Superb shares with the Passat. Karoq and Kodiaq share with Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace.

Fabia
Fabia Mk2 (5J) is an IMMO3/4 job, cheap and quick. Fabia Mk3 (NJ) and Mk4 (NJ facelift) are MQB / IMMO5. Spare keys £180–£350 fitted.
Octavia
By far our most common Skoda — the company car / mini-cab / family-saloon staple. Mk2 is IMMO3/4 (cheap), Mk3 (5E) and Mk4 (NX) are MQB. We do these every week. Spare £220–£380, all-keys-lost £350–£500.
Superb
Mk2 (3T) is older IMMO4. Mk3 (3V) is MQB / IMMO5, mechanically identical key-wise to a Passat B8. Spare £280–£420, all-keys-lost £400–£500.
Karoq, Kodiaq, Yeti
Yeti is older IMMO3/4. Karoq and Kodiaq are MQB / IMMO5 — same as a Tiguan. All routine for us.
Scala & Kamiq
Current-generation small hatch and small SUV. Both MQB / IMMO5. £280–£400 for a spare.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a spare Skoda Octavia key?
Spare Octavia Mk3/Mk4 keys are typically £280–£380 fitted at your kerb. Older Mk2 Octavias are cheaper, £220–£280. We quote a fixed price from your registration before we travel.
I've lost both keys to my Skoda Superb — what do I do?
Call us with the registration. All-keys-lost on a Superb Mk3 is £400–£500 fitted, takes about 90–120 minutes on site (there's a ~17 minute waiting period the car forces), and you'll be driving the same day. No need to recover the car anywhere.
Can you do Skoda Kodiaq proximity smart keys?
Yes. Kodiaq, Karoq and Superb proximity (KESSY) keys are routine for us. Same MQB / IMMO5 platform as the equivalent VW and Audi.
My Skoda key works one minute, not the next — bad chip?
Usually the remote board, not the chip. If the car starts when you put the key in/near it but the buttons are intermittent, it's a remote-board fault. We can refurbish or replace the board from £55+ — much cheaper than a new key.
Will the spare key be a real Skoda key?
OEM-quality blanks and remotes — visually and functionally identical to a dealer key. Same parts the supply chain feeds the dealers. 12-month warranty.
Do you cover Skoda commercial vans?
Skoda doesn't make commercial vans of its own — but if you've got a Citigo-e, Roomster, or Praktik (cargo Roomster), yes. We've done them all.
